About Parametrica

Georgios (Yorgos) Deskos holds a PhD in Earth Science and Engineering from Imperial College London and specializing in computational fluid dynamics and wind energy.  Driven by a commitment to advancing the energy transition, Yorgos joined the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado, where he spent six years developing models and tools to understand the impacts of extreme weather, including tropical cyclones, on wind, solar, and other renewable energy technologies. An active contributor to the international research community and author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications, Yorgos thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments where delivering results supports real-world decisions in the renewable energy sector.
